Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ContractCrunch, available at contractcrunch.app, operated by BrightMatter Studio ("we," "us," or "our"). By using ContractCrunch, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

ContractCrunch is an AI-powered contract analysis tool that reviews uploaded documents and provides plain-language explanations, risk flags, and negotiation suggestions. The service is intended for informational purposes only.

2. Not Legal Advice

CONTRACTCRUNCH IS NOT A LAW FIRM AND DOES NOT PROVIDE LEGAL ADVICE. All analysis, risk flags, summaries, and recommendations generated by ContractCrunch are informational only and do not constitute legal advice. You should consult a qualified attorney before making any legal or contractual decisions. We are not responsible for any decisions made based on the output of ContractCrunch.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use ContractCrunch. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Free and Pro Plans

ContractCrunch offers the following plans:

Free Plan: 2 contract analyses per month, 3 questions per contract, history limited to last 5 contracts.

Pro Plan ($9/month): 25 contract analyses per month, 10 questions per contract, full contract history.

Plan features and pricing may change with reasonable notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

5. Payments and Billing

Pro Plan subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. Payments are non-refundable. You may cancel your subscription at any time and will retain Pro access until the end of the billing period.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Upload contracts containing illegal content or materials that violate third-party rights.

Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the platform.

Use ContractCrunch for any unlawful purpose.

Share account credentials with third parties.

7. Intellectual Property

ContractCrunch and its underlying technology are owned by BrightMatter Studio. You retain ownership of any documents you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it solely to deliver the service.

8. Country-Aware Analysis

ContractCrunch allows users to select a jurisdiction for country-specific analysis. Results are calibrated to general legal standards of the selected country. For certain jurisdictions (such as Guatemala), locally sourced legal materials may be used to enhance analysis. This does not constitute jurisdiction-specific legal advice.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

ContractCrunch is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any analysis. Use of the service is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BrightMatter Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of ContractCrunch, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. International Use

ContractCrunch is available internationally. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with local laws in your jurisdiction. We make no representation that the service is appropriate or lawful in all locations.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
